Domaine G. Roumier’s Chambolle-Musigny 2009 is a beautiful expression of one of Burgundy’s most celebrated villages, offering the kind of perfume, finesse, and texture that have made Chambolle-Musigny so admired. From an iconic producer with deep roots in the region, this Pinot Noir combines elegance with quiet depth, showing both immediate charm and the structure to evolve gracefully over time.

Makuprofiili
The wine shows a luminous ruby hue in the glass, hinting at its freshness and precision. On the nose, it opens with classic red cherry, wild raspberry, and ripe strawberry, followed by violet, subtle spice, and a fine chalky mineral note that adds lift and definition. The palate is silky and beautifully balanced, with vivid acidity carrying the fruit and giving the wine shape without ever disturbing its natural grace. Tannins are fine, polished, and precise, while the finish is persistent and clean, centered on pure red fruit. While already approachable for its poise and openness, the 2009 vintage has the concentration and harmony to develop additional layers of complexity with further bottle age.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This refined Chambolle-Musigny is an excellent match for dishes that complement Pinot Noir’s delicacy, such as roast duck, pheasant, veal with mushrooms, or mushroom risotto. It also pairs well with soft, aged cheeses and lighter game dishes. Serve at around 15–17°C, and decanting is optional; if opened young, a short decant of 20–30 minutes may help the aromatics unfold more fully.
