Domaine Garon Côte-Rôtie 'Lancement' 2018 is a refined and site-driven Syrah from one of the Northern Rhône’s most prestigious appellations. Sourced from the Lancement parcel on the Côte Blonde, it reflects the finesse, mineral tension, and depth that have made Côte-Rôtie one of France’s most admired historic red wine regions.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a deep ruby core with violet reflections. The bouquet is elegant and layered, opening with black raspberry, blueberry, spring flowers, violet, crushed stone, and a peppery spice. On the palate, it is rich and generous, with dark fruit framed by savory spice, bright acidity, and a long, persistent finish. There is both power and precision here, and the wine has excellent aging potential, likely gaining even more complexity and nuance with time in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
The Lancement parcel lies on the Côte Blonde, where sandy, decomposed rock soils and terraces of exposed stone help produce a wine of precision and character. The grapes are partially destemmed before fermentation in stainless steel tanks, allowing the Syrah to retain freshness and aromatic clarity. The wine is then matured for 24 months in French oak barrels, with 50% new oak contributing structure, depth, and subtle complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent partner for rich, flavorful dishes such as lamb, beef, and game. Serve at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting for 1-2 hours if drinking young to help the wine खुल fully and show its aromatic detail and texture.
