Domaine Garon Côte-Rôtie "Lancement" 2020 is a refined and highly expressive Syrah from one of the Northern Rhône’s most revered appellations. Sourced exclusively from the Lancement parcel on the Côte Blonde, it combines power and elegance in a style that speaks clearly of its exceptional hillside terroir and the prestige of Côte-Rôtie.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a deep ruby-red color with subtle violet highlights. The bouquet is complex and polished, unfolding with black raspberry, blueberry, spring flowers, violets, crushed stone, and a peppery spice note that adds lift and detail. On the palate, it is rich and generous, with layered dark fruit flavors supported by vibrant acidity and a long, persistent finish. The structure and concentration suggest excellent aging potential, and the wine will reward cellaring with added depth, nuance, and integration over time.

Viininvalmistus
The Lancement vineyard lies on the Côte Blonde, where sandy, decomposed rocky soils and terraces of pure stone create a demanding but distinctive growing environment for Syrah. The grapes are partially destemmed before fermentation in stainless steel tanks, preserving freshness and precision. After vinification, the wine is matured for 24 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new, giving it added texture, spice, and complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Côte-Rôtie is an excellent match for hearty dishes such as lamb, beef, and game, where its structure and savory spice can complement rich, flavorful meats. Serve it at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting for an hour or more if opening it young to allow the aromatic layers and fine tannins to fully open.
