Domaine Garon Côte-Rôtie Les Rochins 2018 is a striking Syrah from one of the Northern Rhône’s most revered appellations, sourced from a prized parcel on Côte Brune near the famous La Turque vineyard. This is a wine that combines power, precision, and elegance, offering the deep, mineral-driven style that has made Côte-Rôtie legendary.

In the glass, Les Rochins shows a deep, насыщated ruby colour that hints at its concentration and ripeness. The nose is complex and layered, with dark berries such as blackberry and blackcurrant, floral violet notes, and a pronounced mineral edge, lifted by subtle hints of liquorice and olive. The palate is full and rich, opening with black fruit, spice, and dark chocolate, before moving into a slightly earthy core and a fresh, saline minerality. The tannins are fine and well-integrated, giving the wine a polished structure and a long, savoury finish. Thanks to its balance and acidity, it has excellent aging potential and can continue to develop complexity over the next 5–10 years.

Les Rochins comes from a top parcel on Côte Brune, a terroir known for its dark, iron-rich soils and steep slopes that help create some of the most structured wines in Côte-Rôtie. The grapes are harvested by hand to ensure optimal ripeness and careful selection, reflecting the demanding conditions of the region. After fermentation, the wine is matured in barriques for 18 months, adding depth and subtle oak complexity while preserving the purity of the Syrah fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent match for lamb, beef, and game, where its intensity and savoury character can stand up to rich, flavourful dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C for the best expression, and consider decanting for one to two hours if drinking young to help the aromatics open up and soften the structure.
