Domaine Jean Claude Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot 2016 is a finely judged Premier Cru Chardonnay from one of Burgundy’s most admired domaines. In the glass, this wine shows a bright, polished appearance that hints at its freshness and concentration. The nose opens with ripe pear, peach, and citrus oil, layered with more distinctive notes of petroleum and rosemary oil that add complexity and character. On the palate, it is juicy and medium-bodied, with a graceful texture, fine mineral structure, and a subtle warmth on the finish. The wine is already very enjoyable now, but it also has the balance and concentration to age well through around 2030 and beyond, gaining additional nuance over time.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru is an excellent match for refined dishes such as roast chicken, guinea fowl, lobster, scallops, or creamy mushroom risotto. It also works beautifully with rich fish preparations and soft-ripened cheeses. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary unless you want to give it a little extra air to open up in the glass.
