In the glass, this Clos de Vougeot shows the graceful, translucent ruby color typical of great Pinot Noir from Burgundy. On the palate, the wine is supple yet structured, with a core of pure Burgundian fruit framed by polished tannins and well-integrated oak. The wine is then matured in oak barrels for 16-20 months, with 60-100% new oak depending on vintage, adding depth, spice, and structure without overpowering the fruit. Clos de Vougeot’s legendary Burgundy terroir lends the wine its signature complexity, elegance, and sense of place.

This wine pairs beautifully with dishes that echo its depth and refinement, such as roast duck, pigeon, game birds, mushroom risotto, truffle dishes, or veal in a light cream sauce. Serve at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting for about 30-60 minutes if opening young, to allow the aromatics and texture to fully unfold.
