Domaine Maillard Corton Grand Cru 2022 is a rare and highly crafted Burgundy, with just three barrels produced each year from a tiny 0.19-hectare parcel. Hand-harvested and carefully aged in oak, this is Corton at its most refined and artisanal, offering a wine that stands out for both its scarcity and its precision. In a region known for nuance and detail, this is a striking expression of Grand Cru Pinot Noir.

In the glass, this Corton shows a polished, elegant character with a bright red-fruited profile and remarkable purity. The nose is lifted and expressive, unfolding with aromas of red cherry, wild berry, forest floor, and a subtle smoky, bacon-like nuance that adds depth and intrigue. On the palate, the wine feels almost weightless yet intensely focused, with a finely tuned balance between freshness, delicate fruit, and savory complexity. Its ethereal style gives it immediate charm, while the Grand Cru structure suggests very good aging potential, allowing the wine to gain further dimension over time.

Viininvalmistus
This Grand Cru comes from a very small parcel in Corton, one of Burgundy’s most distinctive sites, where the terroir is known for producing Pinot Noir with both finesse and structure. The grapes are harvested by hand with meticulous attention to detail, reflecting the limited scale and artisanal approach of the domaine. After vinification, the wine is aged in oak barrels, including two new barrels and one used barrel, to support the fruit without overpowering its delicate character.
