Domaine Marey Hautes Côtes de Nuits Les Jamées Pinot Noir is a fine example of classic Burgundy at an approachable price point. Made from Pinot Noir grown in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits, it offers the elegance, purity, and subtle oak influence that make this region so admired, while remaining ready to enjoy in its youth. The appellation has long been valued for delivering beautifully expressive wines with real character and strong value.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a clear ruby-red colour. The nose is lifted and inviting, with aromas of raspberry, red cherry, strawberry, liquorice, and a hint of gentle spice. The palate is aromatic, rounded, and pleasantly full, with juicy red fruit at the core and a soft touch of vanilla from the oak ageing. Tannins are moderate and well integrated, giving the wine balance and making it enjoyable already now, though it should hold nicely for a few years as well.

Viininvalmistus
The fruit comes from vineyards planted at around 150 metres above sea level in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits, where the cooler higher-altitude terroir helps preserve freshness and aromatic precision. The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, then fully destemmed before pressing. Fermentation lasts around 15 days, after which the wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels, adding subtle spice and texture without overwhelming the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir is a natural match for roast chicken, duck breast, mushroom dishes, veal, and lighter game, as well as charcuterie and soft cheeses. Serve it slightly cool at around 15–17°C to bring out its fragrance and finesse. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help open the wine if served young.
