In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color with violet highlights, hinting at both its youth and concentration. The nose is layered and complex, with ripe dark berries such as blackcurrant, blackberry, and cherry, followed by earthy notes of forest floor, leather, spice, and a subtle touch of vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate, the wine is bold and structured, with firm yet ripe tannins and fresh acidity that keeps the rich fruit in perfect balance. Flavors of dark chocolate, licorice, spice, and a mineral backbone unfold with impressive depth and detail. The finish is long, precise, and elegant, with a lingering spicy edge. While already showing well with some aeration, this Grand Cru has excellent aging potential and should evolve gracefully over many years.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is an excellent match for rich dishes such as venison, beef, duck, or truffle-based preparations. It will also pair beautifully with slow-cooked lamb or mushroom-forward cuisine. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if enjoying it young to help the aromas and structure open fully.
