Domaine Méo-Camuzet Richebourg Grand Cru 2005 is a powerful and highly refined Burgundy from one of Vosne-Romanée’s most celebrated Grand Cru sites. It combines the depth and concentration of the 2005 vintage with Richebourg’s natural elegance, making it a wine of impressive presence, precision, and long-term ageing potential. Bottled from one of Burgundy’s most historic vineyards, it reflects both pedigree and exceptional winemaking.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep, dense ruby colour with youthful violet reflections, hinting at both concentration and stamina. The nose is intensely layered, offering black cherry, blackberry, and cassis alongside violet, rose petal, exotic spices, dark chocolate, liquorice, and a subtle truffle note, all lifted by a refined mineral freshness. On the palate, this is a full-bodied and concentrated Pinot Noir with a silky texture and beautifully shaped tannins that are already beginning to integrate. Dark ripe fruit, spice, lightly toasted oak, and earthy undertones unfold in waves, leading to a long, harmonious finish. While already impressive, it has the structure and balance to evolve superbly for 30 years or more.

Richebourg is one of the great Grand Cru vineyards of Vosne-Romanée in Bourgogne, known for producing wines with remarkable depth, perfume, and structure. Domaine Méo-Camuzet works with fruit from this exceptional terroir, where limestone-rich soils and an ideal east-facing exposure help create both power and finesse. The 2005 vintage was a particularly strong year in Burgundy, and the grapes were harvested with the aim of preserving purity, concentration, and freshness, followed by careful vinification to support the wine’s layered, age-worthy style.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best served with refined and flavorful dishes such as game, pigeon, beef tenderloin with truffles, duck breast, or richly sauced mushroom dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C to allow the aromas to open fully. Decanting is recommended, especially if the wine is enjoyed young, though older bottles should be decanted gently and only if needed.
