Domaine Méo-Camuzet Richebourg Grand Cru 2019 is a magnificent expression of one of Burgundy’s most revered vineyards, delivering remarkable depth, poise, and sensuality in equal measure. Crafted from Pinot Noir and shaped by an outstanding vintage, it combines ripe fruit, precision, and a level of complexity that has made Richebourg one of the great names in Côte de Nuits history.

In the glass, the wine shows a deep, dense ruby color with violet highlights. The nose is intense and layered, opening with black cherry, blackberry, and plum, followed by violets, rose petals, exotic spice, truffle, cedar, and a subtle smoky note from new oak. The palate is profoundly concentrated yet silken, with monumental structure supported by ripe, polished tannins and a vibrant line of acidity that keeps the wine lifted and energetic. Flavors unfold gradually into dark chocolate, licorice, forest floor, and mineral nuances, finishing with exceptional length and a powerful sense of elegance. This is a wine built for the long haul and should age beautifully for 25–30 years or more.

This Grand Cru calls for equally serious food, such as venison, beef, game birds, or truffle-based dishes that can stand up to its depth and structure. It is best served at around 16–18°C, and decanting is recommended if drinking young to allow the aromatics to open and the texture to fully unfold.
