Domaine Méo-Camuzet Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru 1999 is a beautifully mature Burgundy from one of the region’s most acclaimed vintages, offering the kind of depth, perfume, and finesse that Pinot Noir lovers prize most. From the prized Les Chaumes climat in Vosne-Romanée, this wine combines seductive aromatics, silky texture, and the graceful evolution that only time can bring.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a now fully mature granate-red color with a brick-toned rim, reflecting its age and development. The bouquet is layered and inviting, with dried cherries, wild strawberries, ripe plum, violet, rose petal, forest floor, truffle, gentle smoke, and a hint of exotic spice. The palate is harmonious and elegant, with fully resolved tannins and a fine, lingering acidity that keeps the wine fresh despite its maturity. Flavors unfold in waves of red berries, leather, undergrowth, mushrooms, and a mineral note that adds lift and precision. The finish is long, complex, and subtly floral-spiced, and the wine is now at a beautiful drinking window with excellent immediate enjoyment.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine is a natural match for game birds, veal, pigeon, or dishes featuring truffles and earthy mushroom elements. Serve at around 16-18°C, and decant gently if needed to remove sediment; for a wine at this level of maturity, a brief decant just before serving is usually sufficient.
