Domaine Michel Bouzereau Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières 2021 is a refined white Burgundy from one of Meursault’s most celebrated Premier Cru sites. Made from 100% Chardonnay, it combines mineral precision, finesse, and depth, capturing both the elegance of the appellation and the character of a cool, challenging 2021 vintage.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine typically shows a bright, pale gold hue. The nose is lifted and expressive, with citrus fruits, green apple, and white flowers, layered with subtle toasted nut and chalky mineral notes. The palate is poised and complex, with lively acidity giving the wine a fresh, focused profile. Ripe orchard fruit, citrus zest, and a fine creamy texture from discreet oak ageing are balanced by strong mineral tension and a long, harmonious finish. While delicious now for its purity and detail, it has the structure to gain additional depth and complexity with bottle age.

The Perrières vineyard in Meursault is known for its limestone-rich, stony soils, which lend the wine its signature mineral drive and precision. The 2021 growing season in Burgundy was marked by spring frost, resulting in lower yields but high-quality fruit with excellent balance. Harvesting was carried out with care to preserve freshness and ripeness, followed by vinification designed to emphasize site expression and elegance, with subtle oak use contributing texture rather than dominating the wine.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Premier Cru Chardonnay pairs beautifully with shellfish, lobster, roasted poultry, creamy fish dishes, and fine risotto, as well as poultry in light cream sauces or mushroom-based dishes. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help the wine open up if enjoyed young.
