Domaine Parigot Meursault 'Le Limozin' 2023 is a refined expression of one of Burgundy’s most celebrated white wine villages, offering both generosity and precision in equal measure. Sourced from a small, well-placed lieu-dit between the Premier Cru sites Genevrières and Charmes, it captures the hallmark Meursault style with impressive mineral drive, layered texture, and subtle oak complexity.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a bright pale-golden color with a hint of green. The nose is classically Meursault, opening with toasted hazelnut, pear, lemon cream, and a discreet touch of butter and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is rich and textural, yet firmly shaped by vivid acidity and a clear chalky mineral core. The mid-palate has a lovely rounded weight without ever feeling heavy, and the finish is long, precise, and elegant. This 2023 should drink beautifully now, but it also has the structure to evolve well over the next several years, gaining additional complexity with time.

Viininvalmistus
Le Limozin comes from a small lieu-dit in Meursault with clay, limestone, and marl soils that mirror the character of the prestigious vineyards nearby, giving the wine both depth and freshness. The Chardonnay grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed before fermentation in French oak barrels, with a moderate proportion of new oak used to add nuance rather than dominate the fruit. During ageing on the lees, bâtonnage helps build texture, breadth, and aromatic complexity.

This Meursault is a natural partner for roast chicken, seared scallops, lobster, turbot, creamy risottos, and dishes with butter, mushrooms, or nutty sauces. Serve it at 10–12°C to highlight both its freshness and depth, and consider decanting briefly if opening it young to allow the aromatics and oak notes to unfold more fully.
