In the glass, this 2022 shows a deep ruby-red colour with the vibrancy expected of a well-ripened Pinot Noir. The nose opens with dark cherries, raspberries, and a subtle layer of spice, while the palate is concentrated and focused, offering juicy fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a distinct mineral tension. The warm 2022 vintage has given the wine generous fruit and balanced freshness, supported by integrated oak and a long, persistent finish. It is approachable in its youth with time in the glass, but it also has the structure to develop beautifully over the next 8–15 years, gaining complexity and refinement with cellaring.

Viininvalmistus
Les Epenots in Pommard is one of the commune’s best-known Premier Cru sites, with soils rich in limestone and clay that help shape the wine’s structure, freshness, and ageing capacity. The grapes are 100% Pinot Noir, harvested from a vineyard prized for producing wines with depth, precision, and a distinctly Burgundian sense of place. The wine is unfiltered and matured in oak barrels, including a proportion of new oak, adding complexity and polish without overshadowing the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pommard Premier Cru pairs beautifully with duck breast, roast chicken, veal, game birds, mushroom risotto, or dishes with earthy truffle notes. Serve it at 16–18°C to allow the aromas and structure to unfold fully. Decanting for 30–60 minutes is recommended if opening young, especially to soften the tannins and reveal the wine’s aromatic depth.
