Domaine Parigot Pommard Les Riottes 2022 is a rare and characterful Pinot Noir from a small 1er cru site in Monthélie, offering the depth and structure Burgundy lovers look for, with the refinement that defines great Côte de Beaune wine. Produced in limited quantities from a parcel few growers own, it stands out for its distinctive balance of power, precision, and classic Burgundian charm.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep garnet-red color that hints at its concentration and intensity. The nose opens with layers of red cherry, blackberry, and cranberry, followed by notes of leather and clove that add complexity and a subtle savory edge. On the palate, the wine is generous and full-bodied, yet also marked by a fine mineral streak that keeps it fresh and focused. Dark fruit and warm spice take the lead, supported by well-integrated oak and a firm, elegant structure that suggests it will develop beautifully over the next several years.

Viininvalmistus
Les Riottes is a small 1er cru vineyard under the Monthélie appellation in Côte de Beaune, known for producing wines with both richness and finesse. For this cuvée, winemaker Alexandre Parigot keeps around 20% of the clusters whole during fermentation, while the rest are destemmed, adding complexity and texture. The wine then matures for 18 months, with the first 12 months spent in a mix of new and used French oak barrels before finishing six months in stainless steel to help it settle and come together.

This is a natural partner for dishes with depth and savoriness, such as duck breast, roast pheasant, beef tenderloin, mushroom risotto, or braised lamb. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for about 30–60 minutes if opening young, to allow the wine’s aromatic layers and structure to unfold.
