Domaine Parigot’s Savigny-lès-Beaune "Aux Grands Liards" 2023 is a village wine with the poise and depth of a much more classified site. Grown on a well-positioned parcel between the hillside and the floodplain, it captures the hallmark Savigny balance of charm, freshness, and structure, with a precision that makes this cuvée stand out.

In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a clear ruby-red color that immediately signals brightness and finesse. The nose is inviting and expressive, with notes of raspberry, cherry, gentle spice, and a subtle earthy undertone. On the palate, it is juicy and medium-bodied, driven by red fruit, fresh acidity, and very silky tannins. The finish is clean, lightly spiced, and persistent for a village-level Bourgogne. Thanks to its balance and structure, it can be enjoyed now for its youthful fruit, but it also has the potential to develop beautifully over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
The "Aux Grands Liards" parcel is rooted in clay-limestone soils, a terroir that gives the wine both lively fruit and a refined frame. The 2023 vintage offered stable growing conditions in Savigny, allowing the Pinot Noir to reach optimal ripeness before harvest. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted, then vinified with gentle extraction; depending on the character of the vintage, a proportion of whole clusters may be used. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts, followed by around 12 months of aging in French oak barrels, with only a modest share of new wood to preserve the purity of fruit and the expression of the site.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This elegant Savigny-lès-Beaune pairs beautifully with roast chicken, duck breast, mushroom dishes, grilled salmon, or soft-ripened cheeses such as Brie or Camembert. Serve at 15–17°C for the best expression of its fruit and texture. Decanting is not essential, but a short decant of 20–30 minutes can help open up the aromas if enjoyed young.
