Domaine Seguinot-Bordet Chablis Vieilles Vignes 2023 is a beautifully expressive Chardonnay from old vines, offering the extra concentration, minerality and depth that Chablis lovers seek. With fruit drawn from vines aged 55, 78 and 106 years, this is a wine that captures both the purity of the region and the character that comes from decades of root systems reaching deep into the limestone-rich soils of Burgundy.

In the glass, it shows a pale golden colour with the classic green hue of youthful Chablis. The nose is bright and precise, with aromas of crisp green apple, oyster shell, jasmine and a subtle note of oats, all lifted by a clean, coastal freshness. The palate is vivid and elegant, with full intensity and a layered profile that brings in citrus alongside the wine’s distinctive mineral drive. It feels lively and focused rather than heavy, finishing with freshness and energy. This is a Chablis best enjoyed young, ideally within the next three years, while its brightness and tension are at their peak.

Viininvalmistus
This Vieilles Vignes bottling comes from old Chardonnay vines in Chablis, where the cool climate and limestone-based soils shape the wine’s taut structure and pronounced mineral character. The fruit is harvested from mature parcels that naturally yield smaller amounts of concentrated grapes, helping to build depth and nuance. Winemaking is handled by Jean-Francois Bordet, whose careful approach is aimed at preserving purity, freshness and the signature precision of Chablis.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine is a natural match for oysters, shellfish, grilled white fish, sushi and light poultry dishes, as well as goat cheese and other fresh, tangy cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C to bring out its freshness and mineral edge. Decanting is not necessary; it is best enjoyed straight from the bottle to preserve its lively character.
