The grapes come from Domaine Sylvain Bzikot’s holdings in Puligny-Montrachet, where the soils of the Côte de Beaune contribute to the wine’s tension, mineral character, and refined depth. The estate works with mature vines, averaging 40-50 years of age, which naturally provide concentration and complexity. After harvest, the Chardonnay is vinified and aged for 12-14 months in oak barrels, using both new and used wood to add subtle richness without overwhelming the wine’s precision.

This Puligny-Montrachet is an excellent match for dishes that highlight finesse and texture, such as roast chicken, veal, scallops, lobster, sole meunière, or creamy mushroom risotto. It also pairs beautifully with soft cheeses and dishes featuring butter, herbs, or hazelnut notes. Serve it well chilled, ideally around 10-12°C, and consider brief decanting only if opening it very young.

Domaine Sylvain Bzikot is a family-owned estate deeply rooted in Puligny-Montrachet, with origins tracing back to the producer’s grandfather, who arrived from Poland before the Second World War. Today the domaine spans around 15 hectares across Puligny-Montrachet and other respected Côte de Beaune villages, with Sylvain Bzikot taking over in 1991 and guiding the estate ever since. Known for crafting expressive, terroir-driven Burgundies, the domaine produces wines from village and Premier Cru sites and has earned a strong reputation for elegance, balance, and consistency in the region.
