Duckhorn Postmark Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Duckhorn Postmark Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a generous, fruit-driven expression of Paso Robles Cabernet, offering plenty of California sunshine with the polish and structure you’d expect from Duckhorn’s winemaking style. Sourced from the Adelaida, Estrella and El Pomar districts in the heart of Paso Robles, it brings together ripe fruit, charm and a touch of old-world finesse. It’s a modern Cabernet with a clear sense of place and a name that nods to the distinctive “postmark” of Paso Robles on the label.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Cabernet shows a deep, inviting colour that hints at its ripe, concentrated style. The nose is layered and expressive, with blackberries, raspberry compote, dark cherries and plum lifted by notes of lavender and warm winter spice. The palate is full-bodied and plush, letting the fruit shine through before unfolding into darker accents of dark chocolate, coffee and star anise. The finish is long and smooth, with enough structure to suggest a few years of positive ageing, while remaining immediately enjoyable now.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from selected sites in Paso Robles, a warm Central Coast region known for producing ripe, powerful Cabernet Sauvignon with excellent balance. The fruit was harvested by hand, then pressed and fermented before the wine matured for 12 months in French oak barrels, 40% of them new, adding depth, spice and a refined frame to the wine’s natural richness.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a versatile red for hearty dishes such as grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, roast lamb, beef burgers or mushroom-based pasta. It also pairs well with mature hard cheeses and dishes featuring smoky or peppery seasoning. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 30–60 minutes if possible to let the aromas open and the texture soften.
