Makuprofiili
Now over two decades old, the wine shows a graceful, fully mature profile rather than primary fruit intensity. In the glass it is likely to appear with a translucent garnet to brick-toned rim, while the bouquet opens with dried cherry, forest floor, truffle, and subtle spice, all layered with an earthy, savory complexity. On the palate, the wine is polished and harmonious, with silk-like tannins, a still-vivid line of acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish. The fruit is restrained and elegant, and the overall impression is one of balance, finesse, and classic Grand Cru composure. At this stage, it is at a beautiful point of maturity and should continue to hold well, though its peak expression is likely centered around this period.

Viininvalmistus
The vines come from the upper sections of Charmes-Chambertin, where limestone- and clay-rich soils help shape a Pinot Noir of both concentration and elegance. The grapes are harvested by hand with strict selection, then fermented in small open vats before aging for around 18 months in new French oak, a traditional approach that adds structure and complexity without masking the terroir.

This mature Grand Cru pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as roast duck, squab, veal, mushroom risotto, truffled poultry, or game birds with earthy accompaniments. Serve at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting gently for 30-60 minutes if needed to help the wine open and release its aromatics, especially given its age.
