Dugat-Py Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2006 is a poised and highly expressive Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most admired Grand Cru sites. Makuprofiili
Now approaching two decades of age, the 2006 vintage shows a beautifully balanced and mature profile. In the glass, it offers a deep, evolved ruby hue, while the nose opens with layers of cherry, blackberry, forest floor, and a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, the fruit is rounded and harmonious, supported by silky tannins and a fresh line of acidity that keeps the wine vivid and refined. The finish is long, mineral, and graceful, with the structure to continue holding well for further short- to medium-term cellaring. This is a Charmes-Chambertin that has entered a highly expressive stage, where Dugat-Py’s precision and the vineyard’s terroir are beautifully in sync.

Viininvalmistus
The wine comes from the upper parcels of Charmes-Chambertin, where Dugat-Py works with old vines rooted in limestone and clay soils that naturally encourage both concentration and finesse. The grapes are hand-harvested with strict selection to ensure only the best fruit reaches the cellar. Fermentation takes place in small open vats, followed by approximately 18 months of aging in new oak barrels, a regime that adds depth, structure, and subtle complexity without overwhelming the wine’s natural elegance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as roast duck, game bird, beef tenderloin, mushroom risotto, or truffle-infused poultry dishes. It also works well with aged cheeses, especially those with a supple texture and earthy character. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for about 30–60 minutes if opening now, to allow its mature aromas to unfold fully.
