Dugat-Py Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2009 is a striking expression of one of Burgundy’s most celebrated vineyard sites, crafted from old-vine Pinot Noir in the upper parcels of Charmes-Chambertin. Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-garnet color with the kind of brightness and concentration that hints at its maturity. The nose opens generously with ripe cherry, blackberry, forest floor, spice, and subtle earthy minerality, all wrapped in a refined layer of oak. On the palate, the 2009 vintage brings a supple, rounded texture and rich fruit profile, balanced by fresh acidity and very fine, silky tannins. Layers of dark berries, red cherry, damp earth, and warming spice build into a long, mineral-driven finish. Now beautifully evolved, it still has the structure to continue developing complexity over the coming years.

Viininvalmistus
This wine comes from the upper parcels of Charmes-Chambertin, where old Pinot Noir vines grow in calcareous clay soils that help combine concentration with finesse. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand with strict selection in the vineyard and cellar, ensuring only the best fruit is retained. Fermentation takes place in small open vats, followed by around 18 months of élevage in new oak barrels, a regimen that adds depth and polish while preserving the vineyard’s natural elegance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Grand Cru pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as roast duck, lamb saddle, veal tenderloin, game birds, or mushroom-based preparations. It also works well with aged cheeses that can stand up to its depth and structure. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended if the bottle is still showing some youthful restraint or sediment after aging.
