DuMOL Pinot Noir Finn 2022

DuMOL Finn Pinot Noir 2022 is a polished, deeply structured Pinot Noir from Sonoma's Russian River Valley, crafted from carefully selected fruit from some of DuMOL's best vineyard parcels. It captures the hallmark combination of intensity and finesse that has made this cuvée so sought after, with a style that balances concentrated fruit, refined oak, and a distinctly elegant frame.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows an intense ruby-red color that hints at its depth and concentration. The nose is layered and expressive, opening with ripe dark cherry, blackberry, and red plum, then unfolding into violet, forest floor, spice, and subtle notes of toasted oak, vanilla, and cocoa. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet precise, with silky, well-integrated tannins and a supple texture that carries plenty of fruit without losing freshness. A streak of underlying minerality and vibrant acidity gives the wine energy and length, while the finish is long and nuanced, lingering with fruit, spice, and gentle oak. It can certainly be enjoyed now, but it also has the structure to evolve beautifully over the coming years.

Sourced from selected parcels in the Russian River Valley, this Pinot Noir reflects one of California's most celebrated cool-climate terroirs, where fog influence and well-drained soils help produce wines of both ripeness and freshness. The grapes are harvested from carefully managed vineyard sites chosen for their quality and concentration, then vinified to preserve aromatic complexity, structure, and purity of fruit, with oak used to support rather than dominate the final blend.

This wine pairs beautifully with duck breast, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, veal, or dishes with earthy herbs and savory sauces. Serve it slightly below room temperature, ideally around 15-17°C, and consider a brief decant of 20-30 minutes if opening it young to help the aromatics open up.
