Dunn Vineyards Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a powerful, mountain-grown Napa Cabernet that balances intensity with remarkable restraint. Since 1979, Dunn Vineyards has been a benchmark for serious Howell Mountain Cabernet, known for producing wines with deep structure, purity of fruit, and outstanding aging potential.

In the glass, it shows a deep, saturated ruby color that hints at its concentration. The nose is layered and expressive, with black cherry, cassis, pencil lead, mocha, dried herbs, and a cool streak of menthol and graphite that reflects its high-altitude origins. The palate is firm and uncompromising, built around structured tannins, bright freshness, and dense layers of dark fruit, toasted oak, and mineral notes. This is a wine that opens beautifully with air and has the depth and backbone to evolve gracefully for many years in the cellar.

Viininvalmistus
Sourced from Dunn Vineyards’ own Howell Mountain estate, the wine comes from steep, elevated sites that naturally deliver small berries, concentrated flavor, and the fresh, structured character associated with mountain Cabernet. The fruit is carefully selected and vinified with minimal intervention to preserve purity and site expression, then aged for 32 months in used French oak barrels so the fruit remains at the forefront rather than the wood.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best served at around 16–18°C, this Cabernet pairs beautifully with rich dishes such as grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, venison, lamb, or aged hard cheeses. Decanting is strongly recommended, especially in its youth, to soften the tannins and allow the wine’s complex aromatics to unfold.
