Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is typically deeply colored, with an inky ruby core that hints at its concentration and seriousness. The aromatics are layered and precise, offering dark blackberry, cassis, graphite, tobacco leaf, cedar, and earthy volcanic notes, with subtle oak in the background rather than the foreground. On the palate, it is firm, focused, and built around a vivid line of acidity and substantial tannins. The fruit is dark and compact rather than lush, with flavors of blackcurrant, plum skin, licorice, and savory mountain herbs unfolding slowly. These wines are designed for long aging, and this vertical shows how each vintage develops its own nuance while maintaining the house style of power, balance, and longevity.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Howell Mountain vineyards planted at over 500 meters above sea level, where volcanic soils, cooler temperatures, and naturally low yields produce small, intensely flavored berries with high acidity and firm tannin. The fruit is harvested with precision to preserve freshness and structural integrity, then fermented in stainless steel tanks with extended maceration to build depth and complexity. The wine is matured for around two and a half years in French oak, predominantly used barrels, allowing the mountain fruit and terroir to remain at the center of the final wine.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon is a natural match for richly flavored dishes such as grilled ribeye, lamb shoulder, beef short ribs, venison, or braised mushrooms with rosemary and thyme. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses and slow-cooked dishes with deep savory character. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if drinking young; older bottles may need only a gentle decant to separate sediment and open gradually.
