Failla Brut Sparkling 2G

Failla Brut Sparkling 2G is a distinctive Sonoma Coast sparkling wine that brings a refreshingly cool-climate California expression to the glass. Made from Chardonnay with a very low dosage of just 2 grams, it offers a dry, precise style that feels both food-friendly and impressively Champagne-like in character. First crafted in small quantities in 2015 and expanded in 2016, it stands out for its coastal vineyard source and elegant, old-world inspired craftsmanship.

Makuprofiili
Pale golden in colour with very fine bubbles, this sparkling wine opens with layered aromas of citrus, pear, strawberry, brioche, and a subtle hint of nutmeg. On the palate it is crisp and finely focused, with bright acidity carrying flavours of citrus and pear, while the dry finish gives it a clean, polished feel. The restrained dosage and cool Sonoma Coast fruit give the wine excellent balance and tension, making it especially appealing at the table. While already expressive now, it has the structure to develop additional complexity over a few years of cellaring.

Viininvalmistus
The wine comes from Bohan Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast, a coastal site shaped by cool maritime influence that helps preserve freshness and acidity in the grapes. Failla uses whole-cluster pressing, followed by maturation in both cement tanks and barrels to build texture while keeping the wine precise. The result is a carefully made sparkling wine that balances purity of fruit with subtle lees and oak complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent partner for oysters, sushi, fried seafood, roast chicken, goat cheese, and dishes with creamy sauces, as its acidity and dry profile cut beautifully through rich flavours. Serve chilled at around 6-8°C, and decanting is not recommended; simply open and enjoy its freshness.
