Sourced from the Forman Vineyard and crafted under the uncompromising eye of Ric Forman, it carries the depth, structure and classic Cabernet character that have made this estate one of California’s most respected names.

In the glass, the wine shows a deep, dark red color that hints at its concentration. The nose is distinctly classic Cabernet, opening with blackcurrant, blackberry, pipe tobacco, cedar and a lift of anise. The palate follows with layers of cassis, dark plum, cedar and crushed stone, framed by a firm, focused structure. There is a refined, savory edge that gives the wine extra complexity and persistence. While already highly enjoyable, it has the balance and backbone to age gracefully for several more years, developing more tertiary nuance with time.

Viininvalmistus
Château La Grande Roche is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Malbec, all sourced from the Forman Vineyard in Napa Valley. The wine is typically composed of press wine lots that do not make the cut for the estate’s top Cabernet Sauvignon, but the level of selection and attention remains exceptionally high. Harvesting is done by hand with careful sorting, and the winemaking reflects Ric Forman’s traditional Bordeaux-inspired approach, emphasizing classic structure, precision and purity over modern flashiness.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a natural match for a beautifully grilled steak, roast beef, lamb chops or other rich, savory dishes with char and depth. It also works well with braised short ribs, mushroom risotto or aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for one to two hours is recommended, especially if opening young or if you want to let the aromas and structure fully open up.
