G.H. Mumm Cuvée Cordon Rouge Brut NV

G.H. Mumm Cuvée Cordon Rouge Brut NV is one of Champagne’s most recognisable signatures, instantly identified by its iconic red ribbon and elegant, celebratory style. First introduced in 1876, this cuvée brings together fruit from 120 crus across the region, expressing the breadth and balance of Champagne’s terroirs in one refined blend.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a clear yellow colour with a lively mousse and fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is fresh and expressive, with citrus-driven aromas of lemon and grapefruit joined by dried apricot, peach, white flowers, and a subtle nutty note. The palate is dry, bright, and well-balanced, with layers of fruit and a hint of caramel adding roundness to the wine’s energetic structure. Elegant and lightly textured, it finishes with a lively, refreshing close. Enjoy now for its freshness and vibrancy, though it will hold well over the short term.

Viininvalmistus
This cuvée is crafted from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier sourced from a wide range of Champagne crus, including Montagne de Reims, Aube, Côte des Blancs, Sézannais, Vitryat, the Marne Valley, and Ardre. The diversity of sites gives the wine its complexity and classic regional character. It is aged for a minimum of 20 months in Maison Mumm’s cellars before release.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
An excellent match for oysters, shellfish, sushi, smoked salmon, poultry, or light creamy dishes, as well as aperitif occasions. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is not recommended for Champagne; simply open gently and pour into flute or tulip glasses to preserve the mousse.
