Greenwing Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 offers immediate charm and plenty of drinking pleasure, delivering ripe red fruit, a touch of spice, and a cool, elegant structure. Crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon with a portion of Malbec, it shows impressive depth and balance, while the Duckhorn family ownership adds a reassuring mark of quality behind the label.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this 2021 Cabernet shows a deep, inviting color that hints at its concentration. The nose leans toward blackcurrant, raspberry, and subtle warming spice, with a refined lift that keeps the bouquet fresh rather than heavy. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with juicy black and red berry flavors at the core—especially cassis and raspberry—supported by notes of cinnamon, black tea, and a gentle mineral edge. Fine tannins and lively acidity keep the wine focused and energetic, while the finish is long, lightly spicy, and laced with subtle earthy tones. It is delicious now, but has the structure to develop over the next 3–5 years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Columbia Valley, where warm, dry days and cool nights help produce small, concentrated berries with excellent flavor intensity and natural balance. The blend is approximately 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Malbec, selected to combine Cabernet’s structure and dark fruit with Malbec’s supple richness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, with partial use of French oak barrels and a relatively short period of aging to preserve pure fruit character while softening the tannins.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, or rich mushroom dishes, as well as hard cheeses such as aged cheddar. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for about 30–60 minutes if drinking young to let the aromatics and texture open up fully.
