Hartford Court Far Coast Vineyard Chardonnay 2019 is a striking coastal Chardonnay that showcases the cooler edge of Sonoma with precision and depth. Sourced from a hillside vineyard just north of Fort Ross, this wine brings together bright freshness, layered texture, and a clear sense of place, making it a standout expression of California Chardonnay.

Makuprofiili
Pale gold in the glass, the wine opens with lifted aromas of orange peel, yellow apple, dried fruit, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is generous yet focused, offering mandarin, clementine, and quince framed by a long, textured finish. A distinct mineral thread runs through the wine, adding tension and elegance to its ripe citrus and orchard fruit character. With its balance of richness and freshness, this Chardonnay has the structure to be enjoyed now, while also having the potential to develop additional complexity with short- to medium-term cellaring.

Viininvalmistus
The Far Coast Vineyard sits on a ridge north of Fort Ross along the Sonoma Coast at around 700 feet, surrounded by redwood forest and influenced by the nearby Pacific Ocean. This cool-climate site is especially well suited to Chardonnay, with marine breezes helping preserve acidity and aromatic detail. The grapes were harvested from this single vineyard and the wine was fermented in barrel before aging for 14 months in French oak, including 39% new oak, which adds depth, texture, and subtle complexity without overwhelming the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roast chicken, lobster, grilled prawns, seared scallops, or creamy pasta dishes, as well as rich mushroom-based cuisine and mild aged cheeses. Serve slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider brief decanting if serving young to help open up its layered aromatics and texture.
