Hartford Court Four Hearts Vineyard Chardonnay 2020 is a standout Russian River Valley Chardonnay built from fruit sourced mainly from Tom Dehlinger’s vineyard, home to some of the area’s oldest Chardonnay vines. Crafted by winemaker Jeff Stewart, it combines old-vine concentration, precision winemaking, and a track record that has repeatedly earned top critical praise—making it one of Hartford Court’s most sought-after white wines.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a rich golden hue with a polished, almost creamy appearance. The nose is layered and expressive, opening with green apple, pear, citrus, honey, and fresh-baked bread with butter, all lifted by a subtle mineral edge. On the palate, the wine is vibrant yet luxurious, with flavors of Granny Smith apple, citrus, pink grapefruit, pineapple, and candied ginger, wrapped in a refined touch of vanilla from the oak. The finish is long, exotic, and distinctly mineral, leaving the impression of both freshness and depth. While already impressive now, it has the structure and concentration to develop beautifully over the coming years.

The 4 Hearts bottling is built primarily from old Chardonnay vines in Tom Dehlinger’s Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, where cool-climate conditions help preserve acidity and aromatic precision. The grapes were pressed as whole clusters, a method that supports finesse and purity in the finished wine. It spent 10 months in French oak, including 41% new barrels, and was bottled without filtration to retain texture, intensity, and complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with lobster, roasted chicken, seared scallops, crab, creamy pasta dishes, and richer preparations of fish such as halibut or cod with butter-based sauces. Serve it lightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short opening in the glass can help the aromas unfold.
