Hasher Marimist Chardonnay 2023 is a refined South African white that balances brightness, texture, and subtle oak influence with impressive poise. Its youthful citrus-driven profile, layered fruit character, and elegant complexity make it a Chardonnay that feels both immediately appealing and quietly serious.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a pale golden colour with green highlights, reflecting its freshness and youthful energy. The nose is expressive and polished, opening with citrus, white peach, and green apple, followed by delicate notes of toasted nuts and vanilla from gentle oak ageing. On the palate, the wine offers a pleasing harmony of freshness and depth. Crisp acidity lifts the ripe fruit, while a creamy texture adds roundness and finesse without heaviness. Flavours of citrus, stone fruit, and a subtle mineral edge lead into a long, clean finish. It already has plenty of charm, but it should also gain further complexity with a few years of cellaring.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roast chicken, grilled fish, creamy pasta dishes, shellfish, and poultry with mild herb sauces. It should be served lightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, to preserve its freshness while allowing the oak nuances to show. Decanting is not necessary, though a short period in the glass can help the aromas open up.
