Heitz Wine Cellars Lot C-91 2017 is a beautifully composed Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that captures the house style of elegance, freshness, and site expression. Originally pioneered by Joe Heitz in 1969, the wine brings together fruit from a range of distinguished parcels in Western Oakville, Eastern Rutherford, and Southeast Howell Mountain to create a unified yet layered expression of the estate.

Makuprofiili
The wine shows a deep, inviting color and a beautifully perfumed aromatic profile. Expect notes of red plums, blueberries, smoked meat, sage, rosemary, black pepper, and dark chocolate, all lifted by a refined herbal edge. On the palate, it is intense yet graceful, with ripe fruit unfolding in a silky, polished manner. The finish is long and lightly savory, with a lingering herbal character that adds freshness and tension. While already expressive, it has the structure to age gracefully and gain further complexity over time.

Viininvalmistus
Fruit for this wine is sourced from several sustainably farmed parcels across Napa Valley, giving it a broad but distinctive sense of place. The grapes are harvested with care to preserve purity and balance, then pressed and fermented before the wine spends 9 months maturing in a combination of used and new French oak barrels, allowing the fruit and site character to remain at the forefront.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs especially well with grilled ribeye, roasted lamb, braised short ribs, or richly flavored mushroom dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for about one hour if enjoyed young, to allow the aromatics and structure to open fully.
