Hubert Lignier Chambolle-Musigny Les Chabiots 1er Cru 2014 is a finely composed Burgundy that captures the elegance of Chambolle while showing the estate’s hallmark depth and structure. Made from Pinot Noir in one of the commune’s most respected premier cru sites, it offers floral perfume, firm grip, and the kind of age-worthy balance that has long made Hubert Lignier wines highly regarded in Côte de Nuits.

In the glass, this wine shows a graceful, classic Burgundy profile with a lifted, floral character. Notes of rose petal and crisp red fruit lead the nose, with the bouquet opening steadily as the wine breathes. The palate is balanced and focused, built around fresh acidity and firm tannins that give the wine a more structured, almost Morey-Saint-Denis-like feel. At this stage it can seem a little closed or gruff, but it should gain flesh and harmony with time in bottle. This is a wine with very good aging potential and should reward patience.

Viininvalmistus
Les Chabiots is a small 1.5-hectare premier cru vineyard in Chambolle-Musigny, where the cooler Côte de Nuits climate and limestone-rich soils help produce Pinot Noir with perfume, precision, and structure. Hubert Lignier works traditionally and without pesticides or herbicides, focusing on healthy fruit and low-intervention farming. The estate is known for careful vinification that preserves terroir expression, depth, and concentration, resulting in wines with both freshness and serious cellar potential.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with dishes that complement Pinot Noir’s finesse and structure, such as duck breast, roast quail, mushroom risotto, veal, or game birds. It is also excellent with truffle-infused dishes and aged cheeses. Serve at 15-17°C and consider decanting for about 30-60 minutes if opening young, to help the aromatics unfold and soften the tannins.

Hubert Lignier is a respected family domaine based in Morey-Saint-Denis with roots dating back to 1880, when Jacques Lignier acquired vines in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Today the estate is run by Hubert Lignier and his son Laurent, producing a broad range of wines across Bourgogne, village, premier cru, and grand cru levels. The domaine is known for traditional craftsmanship, old-vine character, and wines of depth, structure, and remarkable aging potential.
