Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a refined Napa Valley classic, offering the depth, structure, and concentration that have made the estate one of California’s most respected names. Crafted from carefully selected fruit grown in Rutherford’s prized vineyards, it combines power with elegance and reflects Inglenook’s long-standing commitment to organic farming and meticulous winemaking. This is a wine with real heritage, inspired by the legendary 1941 vintage and the estate’s history stretching back to 1879.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep garnet-purple color, hinting at the richness to come. The nose is layered and expressive, with blackcurrant, stewed plum, cassis, dark chocolate, tobacco, pencil lead, dried herbs, forest floor, and a touch of black olive adding complexity. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm yet polished, with tightly woven black and red fruit, fine mature tannins, and a refreshing line of acidity that keeps everything balanced. There is real depth on the finish, with a savory, slightly herbal edge and a rich, expansive feel that suggests excellent aging potential. While already impressive, it will continue to develop beautifully over the next decade or more, and can easily reward cellaring for 20 years.

Viininvalmistus
The wine comes from Inglenook’s own vineyards in Rutherford, one of the most esteemed parts of Napa Valley, where the terroir is known for producing Cabernet with structure, depth, and a signature sense of finesse. The grapes are hand-harvested with careful selection to ensure only the best fruit is used, and the winery takes a gentle approach in vinification to preserve elegance and purity. It is then aged for 18 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, adding polish, texture, and subtle layers of spice and toast.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent match for richly flavored dishes such as grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, lamb, roast beef, or game with earthy sauces. It also pairs well with aged hard cheeses and dishes featuring mushrooms or truffle. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromas and structure to open fully.

Today, the estate is owned by Francis Ford Coppola and remains a highly regarded name in the region, known for its premium wines, historic importance, and strong international reputation.
