Kosta Browne’s Gap’s Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020 is a standout single-vineyard bottling from one of Sonoma Coast’s most celebrated sites. Made from fruit grown in the cooler southern reaches of the region, it combines impressive depth with the finesse and precision that have made this vineyard a benchmark for world-class Pinot Noir. Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a vivid ruby-red color. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of blueberry, raspberry jam, blood orange, black tea, licorice, violets, and a subtle touch of vanilla from oak aging. On the palate, it is generous and full-bodied in an elegant style, with ripe fruit at the core and fresh tannins providing shape and balance. The finish is polished and persistent, showing both energy and refinement. With its structure and concentration, this wine should age gracefully over the coming years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Gap’s Crown Vineyard in the southern part of Sonoma Coast, a site prized for producing Pinot Noir with natural brightness, complexity, and structure. Winemaker Julien Howsepian includes about 10% whole clusters, and after pressing, fermentation takes place mainly in open-top stainless steel tanks. The wine is then matured for 15 months in French oak barrels, 43% of which are new, adding subtle spice and texture without overpowering the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with dishes that complement its balance of fruit, acidity, and fine tannins, such as roasted duck, herb-crusted salmon, mushroom risotto, grilled lamb, or truffle pasta. Serve slightly cool at around 16–18°C for the best expression of its aromas and structure. Decanting is recommended if you want to open up the wine’s aromatics and soften its youthful edges.
