In the glass, the wine shows a ruby-toned color that hints at its freshness and class. The nose opens with lifted aromas of blueberries, raspberry jam, blood orange, black tea, licorice, violets, and a subtle touch of vanilla from the oak. On the palate, it is full-bodied in an elegant, seamless style, with ripe fruit at the core and fresh tannins providing balance and structure. The wine has a polished, layered feel and a long, composed finish. With its concentration and firm frame, it should also reward careful cellaring over the next several years.

Viininvalmistus
Gap’s Crown Vineyard sits in the cooler southern part of Sonoma Coast, where maritime influence and a long growing season help preserve freshness while allowing Pinot Noir to develop full flavor and aromatic complexity. Winemaker Julien Howsepian includes around 10% whole clusters in fermentation, and the juice is primarily fermented in open-top stainless steel tanks. The wine is then matured for 15 months in French oak barrels, with 43% new oak contributing subtle spice and texture without overpowering the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roast duck, wild mushroom risotto, herb-crusted lamb, seared salmon, or dishes featuring earthy root vegetables and truffle. Serve at around 14–16°C for the best expression of its aromatics and structure. Decanting is optional, but a short decant can help the wine open up if enjoyed young.
