Krug Grande Cuvée 167ème Édition is the house’s signature expression of luxury and consistency — a Champagne created to transcend the limits of any single vintage. Blended from wines drawn from multiple years and a trio of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, it captures the depth, precision, and richness that have defined Krug since Joseph Krug first imagined a Champagne of uncompromising quality in 1843.

In the glass, it shows a beautiful pale golden color with a fine, lively mousse that immediately signals elegance. The nose opens with floral notes, ripe dried citrus, marzipan, and gingerbread, followed by a richly layered palate of hazelnut, nougat, citrus jelly, almonds, brioche, and honey. The texture is generous yet refined, with remarkable breadth and freshness in balance. Crafted for complexity and longevity, Grande Cuvée is already captivating on release but has the structure and depth to evolve beautifully over time.

Viininvalmistus
Krug Grande Cuvée is made from a meticulous blend of base wines from many different years, allowing the house to create a fuller and more expressive Champagne than any single vintage could offer. The exact composition varies from edition to edition, but Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier always form the core. After blending, the wine matures for around seven years in Krug’s cellars, building its signature complexity, elegance, and finely tuned balance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Champagne is a superb match for refined dishes such as foie gras, lobster, roasted poultry, truffle risotto, aged Parmesan, or even lightly spiced Asian cuisine. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a few minutes in the glass will help it раскры its layers of aroma and flavor beautifully.
