La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino 2020 is a beautifully crafted 100% Sangiovese from one of Tuscany’s most celebrated appellations. Drawn from carefully selected hillside vineyards in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, this DOCG wine reflects the elegance, structure, and age-worthy character that have made Brunello di Montalcino a benchmark for Italian red wine.

In the glass, this Brunello typically shows a vivid ruby core that begins to deepen with time. The nose is expressive and layered, with aromas of ripe red cherry, wild berries, dried herbs, violets, and subtle earthy notes, lifted by hints of spice and toasted oak from its careful maturation.
On the palate, it is poised and refined, with firm yet polished tannins, lively acidity, and a core of red fruit balanced by savory complexity. The oak aging adds depth without overpowering the grape’s natural character, while the long bottle rest brings harmony and finesse. This is a wine built for the cellar and should continue to develop gracefully over many years.
Viininvalmistus
La Fiorita’s vineyards in Montalcino benefit from distinct terroirs that contribute complexity to the final wine. Poggio al Sole lies at around 150 meters above sea level with a southern exposure and clay-rich, tuffaceous soils, while Pian Bassolino sits higher at about 350 meters with a southeast exposure and marl-dominated soils. The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, traditionally around late September. Fermentation takes place at a controlled maximum temperature of 28°C over approximately ten days, followed by careful pump-overs and delestage to ensure thorough extraction and ideal maceration. The wine is then matured for 12 months in French oak barrels, 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks, 8 months in stainless steel, and finally at least 30 months in bottle before release.
Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Brunello pairs wonderfully with rich, savory dishes such as grilled or roasted beef, game, braised lamb, porcini mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, ideally with a short period of aeration before pouring; decanting for one to two hours is recommended, especially in its youth, to allow the wine to раскры its full aromatic range and soften its structure.
