Le Coste Le Chat

Le Coste Le Chat is a distinctive Chardonnay from Lazio that reflects the natural, hands-off philosophy for which Le Coste is known. Crafted in a region better known for its volcanic landscapes than for conventional Chardonnay, it offers a fresh, characterful expression with a clear sense of place.

Makuprofiili
Le Chat is typically pale to medium straw in the glass, with a lively, unforced brightness. On the nose, expect notes of ripe orchard fruit, citrus peel, white flowers, and a subtle mineral edge, often accompanied by a gentle earthy or herbal nuance. The palate is usually textured and flavorful, balancing freshness with roundness. Chardonnay’s natural generosity is shaped here by a more artisanal style, giving a wine that feels both precise and relaxed. It should drink well on release, while also having the potential to develop additional complexity over a few years.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with grilled fish, roast chicken, seafood pasta, and vegetable dishes with a touch of richness. It is best served lightly chilled, around 10–12°C, and generally does not require decanting, although a short splash in the glass can help open up the aromas.
