Martin Ray Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is a classic, highly appealing Californian Cabernet that draws fruit from some of Napa Valley’s most respected sites, including Coombsville and Rutherford. Winemaker Leslie Renaud has deliberately focused on warmer Napa Valley terroirs to craft a wine with impressive intensity, generous volume, and a polished, full-bodied style that feels both modern and rooted in the region’s long Cabernet tradition.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this is a dark, deeply colored Cabernet with a rich, concentrated look that hints at its ripe fruit core. The nose is layered and expressive, offering dark cherries, blueberries, liquorice, dark chocolate, leather, walnuts, and dried flowers. On the palate, it is broad and mouthfilling, with dark fruit leading the way before notes of green peppercorns and cocoa add complexity and lift. The French oak aging brings extra structure and finesse, while the wine’s generous style suggests solid aging potential over the next several years, especially for those who enjoy a richly textured Cabernet.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes were hand-harvested from carefully selected small parcels in warm Napa Valley sites, including Coombsville and Rutherford, where the terroir helps build concentration and ripeness. After meticulous selection, the wine was matured for 16 months in French oak barrels, half of them new, lending depth, spice, and structure to the finished wine.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent match for grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, roast lamb, or mushroom-based dishes with plenty of umami. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes to let the aromas open fully and soften the wine’s youthful structure.
