Morgen Long Seven Springs Vineyard Chardonnay 2021 is a benchmark single-vineyard Chardonnay from one of Oregon’s most respected sites. Grown organically at around 200 meters above sea level in Seven Springs Vineyard, it combines pristine fruit, excellent natural balance, and thoughtful winemaking from Seth Morgen Long. The result is a wine with real precision and character, shaped by a vineyard that has long been considered one of the Willamette Valley’s great Chardonnay sources.

In the glass, this Chardonnay shows a refined, luminous profile with a very elegant aromatic lift. The nose is packed with lemon, lime, white grapefruit, waffle, wet stone, and a subtle hint of smoke, giving it both freshness and complexity. On the palate, it is bright and citrus-driven, with a sleek, focused texture and a long, mineral finish that keeps everything taut and energetic. The wine has the structure and balance to age gracefully over the coming years, likely gaining more depth and nuance with bottle time.

Viininvalmistus
Seven Springs Vineyard sits at a high elevation and offers near-ideal conditions for Chardonnay, with organically tended vines and a terroir that encourages freshness, tension, and mineral expression. The grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring careful selection in the vineyard. Vinification includes 12 months of aging in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new, followed by six months in stainless steel tank; the wine is neither fined nor filtered, preserving purity and texture.

This Chardonnay is a natural match for grilled or roasted chicken, lobster, scallops, creamy seafood dishes, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, to show both its vibrant fruit and mineral depth. Decanting is not essential, but a short period in the glass can help the wine open up beautifully.
