Morgen Long X Omni Vineyard Chardonnay 2021 is a striking Oregon white that combines precision, depth, and real charm. Crafted from 99.8% Chardonnay with a tiny touch of Aligoté, it comes from the highly regarded X Omni Vineyard in the southern part of Eola-Amity Hills, a site known for producing wines with energy and detail. The result is a wine that feels both generous and finely tuned, with a style that invites comparison to some of Burgundy’s best.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Chardonnay shows a bright, polished character with impressive concentration. The nose is expressive and layered, offering citrus oil, pineapple, apricot, ginger, lemongrass, mint, and white flowers. On the palate, it is deep, generous, and highly focused, with ripe fruit balanced by a beautifully composed acidity that gives the wine lift and structure. The new oak adds texture and breadth rather than dominating the fruit, and the finish is long and refined. While already impressive now, this is a wine with clear aging potential and should gain further complexity over the next several years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from X Omni Vineyard in the southern Eola-Amity Hills of Oregon, a cool-climate site where volcanic soils and steady marine-influenced breezes help preserve freshness and tension in the fruit. The vineyard was harvested by careful hand-picking to protect quality and precision. After fermentation, the wine spent 12 months in 100% new oak barrels, followed by 6 months in stainless steel to bring the components into harmony before release.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, lobster, scallops, crab, butter-poached fish, creamy pasta dishes, and mushroom risotto. It also works very well with aged cheeses or dishes featuring citrus, herbs, and a touch of richness. Serve it cool, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider a brief decant if drinking young to let the wine open up and show its full aromatic range.
