Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a vibrant, translucent ruby color that hints at its finesse more than its power. The nose is layered and inviting, with red currants, dark cherries, forest floor, flowers, spice, and a subtle marine salinity that adds freshness and complexity. On the palate, the wine is silky and beautifully composed, balancing ripe cherry fruit with red berry brightness, earthy undertones, and a touch of exotic, wooded nuance. Ultra-fine tannins and perfectly integrated acidity give it poise and length, while the finish is persistent and refined. This is a Pinot Noir with excellent aging potential, and it should continue to evolve gracefully over the next decade or more.

This wine comes from Bien Nacido Vineyard in Santa Barbara County, a cool-climate site that is especially well suited to Pinot Noir because it preserves freshness while allowing the fruit to develop depth and complexity. Ojai Vineyard has long favored cooler vineyard sources to better capture balance and terroir expression, and the fruit here is harvested with a strong focus on picking before the wines lose tension. The wine was aged for 15 months in French oak, including 30% new oak, giving it subtle structure and spice without overwhelming the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir is an excellent match for roast duck, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, cedar-plank chicken, or herb-crusted pork tenderloin. It also pairs beautifully with earthy dishes like wild mushrooms or truffle pasta. Serve at 15–17°C and, if possible, open the bottle 20–30 minutes before serving; decanting is optional but can help younger bottles show their perfume and texture more quickly.
