In the glass, Au Paradise shows the deep, dark color you would expect from a serious Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose is layered and expressive, with blackcurrant, blackberry, lavender, tobacco, pencil shavings, pine needles, and sage all unfolding with air. On the palate, it delivers dark cherry, mocha, cinnamon, leather, smoke, and vanilla, wrapped in concentrated fruit and refined oak. The wine is full-bodied and firmly structured, with impressive balance and length, and it should age beautifully for many years; giving it a few more years in the cellar will allow it to develop further complexity, with a drinking window that can easily extend for two decades.

Au Paradis is located in the center of Oakville AVA, one of Napa Valley’s most celebrated sites for Cabernet Sauvignon, where the combination of soil and climate is especially well suited to producing concentrated, age-worthy wines. The vineyard is planted according to the estate’s benchmark, with at least 75% Cabernet Sauvignon complemented by Cabernet Franc. The wine spent 18 months in French oak barrels, adding polish, spice, and structure to the final blend.
