Belle Côte is planted on hillside terrain in Knights Valley, Sonoma County, where volcanic soils mixed with clay help give the wine its structure, tension, and sense of place. The grapes are harvested by hand to preserve quality, then fermented and aged in French oak barrels, including a significant proportion of new oak, which adds subtle spice, vanilla, and toasted nuances while supporting the wine’s concentrated style.

This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with lobster, roast chicken, seared scallops, creamy pasta dishes, or richer fish such as halibut and turbot. It is best served slightly chilled, around 10-12°C, to show both its freshness and complexity. Decanting is not necessary, but a little time in the glass can help the aromatics open up.
