Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep, насыщенный ruby-black colour that hints at its concentration. The nose is expressive and layered, with dark cherries, blackberries, blueberry coulis, morels, fresh leather, and a touch of vanilla from oak aging. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, with plenty of ripe fruit wrapped around notes of dark chocolate and sweet tobacco. There is impressive structure beneath the plush fruit, giving the wine both generosity and balance. Thanks to its concentration, fine tannins, and careful élevage, this vintage has excellent aging potential and should continue to evolve beautifully for decades.

Les Pavots comes from Peter Michael Winery’s estate vineyard in Knights Valley, where the warm California climate and well-situated site help Cabernet-based varieties reach full ripeness while retaining structure and freshness. The 2018 blend was composed of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 13% Merlot, and 7% Petit Verdot. The wine was aged for 18 months in 100% French oak barrels and bottled unfiltered to preserve its intensity and character.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a wine that calls for rich, flavourful dishes such as grilled ribeye, lamb rack, slow-braised beef, venison, or truffle-inflected mushroom dishes. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for at least 1–2 hours is recommended to let the aromatics open up and the tannins soften.
