In the glass, this Pinot Noir typically shows a bright, translucent ruby colour with inviting clarity. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petal, and subtle spice, followed by hints of forest floor and fine oak. The palate is refined yet concentrated, offering a silky texture, vibrant acidity, and nuanced flavours of ripe red berries, cranberry, and savoury earthiness. The wine’s balance and structure suggest excellent aging potential, with the capacity to evolve gracefully over time and gain more complexity in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Peter Michael’s Seaview Vineyard, perched at around 400 metres on a steep hillside, where the vines benefit from cool Pacific breezes and just the right amount of sunlight. This elevated, maritime-influenced site helps preserve freshness and aromatic purity while allowing the Pinot Noir to ripen slowly and evenly. The wine is produced with the aim of expressing both the character of the vineyard and the finesse associated with top-tier Pinot Noir.

This wine pairs wonderfully with duck breast, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, or dishes with earthy, delicate flavours that complement Pinot Noir’s elegance. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 20–30 minutes if the wine is still showing a bit of restraint, especially in its youth.
