Petrolo Galatrona 2023 is a standout Tuscan Merlot that combines depth, precision, and impressive elegance. In the glass, Galatrona 2023 shows a deep, dark color that hints at its concentration and richness. The nose opens with blackberry, blueberry, and ripe cherry, layered with violets, cocoa, coffee bean, and a subtle touch of licorice, all framed by a fresh, pure fruit profile that feels especially polished for the vintage. On the palate, it is silky and full-bodied with dense dark fruit, ripe tannins, and bright acidity that keeps everything lifted and composed. The texture is creamy without feeling heavy, while the oak is well integrated and supportive rather than intrusive. The finish is long and layered, with juicy fruit, mineral nuances, and gentle spice. It already shows harmony, but it has the structure to gain even more complexity over the next decade or longer.

Viininvalmistus
Galatrona comes from a single vineyard in Val d’Arno di Sopra, where old Merlot vines grow in clay-rich soils mixed with stones and mineral material. This combination gives the wine both power and finesse, while the site’s freshness helps preserve balance in the fruit. The wine is crafted with careful cellar work and thoughtful oak aging to emphasize purity, structure, and elegance, allowing the character of the vineyard and vintage to remain at the forefront.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a superb match for roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, game dishes, braised short ribs, or rich mushroom-based plates. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses and Tuscan-style dishes featuring herbs and slow-cooked meat. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for around 1–2 hours if drinking young to let the wine fully open and show its layered aromatics and texture.
